In May 2020, Bright Bread Company was born amidst a global pandemic. Operated by three generations of women, Bright Bread Company bakes and delivers delicious homemade bread and banana bread straight to your doorstep in South Orange County. 83-year-old Mrs. Bright, whom the company is named after, has built a lasting impression on her community with her simple but nutritious recipes!

 

Mrs. Bright’s mission is to spread joy through her oldest and most famous recipes. 

 

The secret is simple. Bright’s bread is created with only five ingredients and no preservatives, compared to the laundry list of preservatives that make up most breads sold in stores. 

 

Growing up on a farm in Cape Town, South Africa, Mrs. Bright learned the art of baking bread from her own mother as a young child -- a skill she has since perfected over the course of her next 70 years. Mrs. Bright’s immaculate baking abilities, blended with the passion and drive of her daughter Charisse Zakhour, and grand-daughters Chloe, Kayla and Amber Zakhour, make for the perfect recipe.

 

Mrs. Bright and the Zakhour women are known for their food, and food is simply what they do best.
